Full Description

The founding father of the modern SUV species……the one real off-roader……a car for real men……many names for the first generation of Toyota’s four door full size Land Cruiser, the 60 series, which started a model category that is treasured as a Japanese best-seller all over the world up to date in its various models and generations.

This 1983 HJ60 comes with the supposedly indestructible 4.2 litre carbureted 6-Cylinder Engine (2F) combined with a manual transmission that has been upgraded to 5-speed for better road travel qualities.

The vehicle is generally original except for the upgraded transmission and a body lift kit to push off-roading limits. The upholstery has been refurbished before but maintains the original look in tone and fabric. Engine and transmission are running smooth without any issues, the exhaust is brand new from center muffler all the way to the rear end, A/C has been serviced recently and is blowing cold. Paint & exterior show some minor cosmetic flaws as could be expected from a 33-year old off-road vehicle.

Whether a joy ride through the sand dunes or a longer trip to explore new territory – this cruiser is the reliable companion for both and a classic amongst off-road motoring enthusiasts already.
